Our 8th Anniversary

Aaron and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on 8/14. We shipped the kids off to dad and mom (thank you!) and we just hung out together at home. We watched a movie, talked, relaxed, did nothing, and slept.

Aaron made supper on Friday night. He made our first date meal again - chicken Parmesan, with beans, garlic bread, pasta, and sauce. It was delicious!!

The only down side of the weekend is that I was sick:(

Chef Austin

Austin wanted to help make supper one night, so he was in charge of the fruit salad. He did a GREAT job! Little brother was the supervisor:)

Truex Family Reunion

It was not really called a reunion, but it was in a way!

Uncle Dick, Aunt Nancy, and second cousin Justin came to visit Grandma Truex for a few days. They helped her start going through some things (she is moving to The Meadows soon).

They also made time to see the rest of us - we had a BBQ. It was great fun, especially since Kristy got to come home too!

The first picture is of Justin:)

Next, Uncle Lowell eating chips - he loved those chips:)

A great one of Mom!!

The whole gang (a neighbor girl who is also a classmate of Austin's took this picture for us - she did great!) Back Row: Nancy, Kristy, Mom, Pat, Lowell Front Row: Dick, Jeff (Kristy's boyfriend), Jess, Ethan, Aaron, and Austin

The Jenny's Visit!

This summer the boys got to hang out with their 2nd cousins. Since they don't have cousins on either side, they loved this.

Aaron's cousin, Mike, had to go out of town on business so his parents watched the kids here in Norfolk.

Ryan was 2 when we saw him last, and we had never met Sarah.

They were such sweet kids!! Everyone had a great time together, we just wish we could have seen Mike too. Maybe next time!!

Tired Ethan

Ethan no longer takes naps, but according to these pictures he may need them sometimes!

CAMPING!!

We went camping with my parents, Nick and Tracie, and Jackie. We stayed at Willow Creek in Pierce. The girls went home and slept, but the guys stayed the whole time. We missed Joe and Renee though :(

Camping is not my favorite thing to do, but overall it was a fun time.

Silly Boys

The boys had a lot of fun together this summer just hanging out in the backyard, playing in sand, and especially swimming and going on the slip and slide!

One day I started taking pictures of them in the pool and they kept doing these silly poses!!

Nick and Tracie's Wedding

Now that I have the blog up and running I am going to catch up on some events that have happened.

One big one was Nick and Tracie's wedding!!

It was so much fun and everything went so well.

The one of Austin looking upset is so funny! He was SO hungry and sat down to eat and all there was at his place was salad, which he is not a fan of at all! He thought that was all he was going to get and made that face and I quick took a picture - priceless!!

The boys are sacked out on Aaron at the dance. They actually were very well behaved and did handle the lack of sleep well.

The one of the "Reding Cousins" is so funny! There are about 5 of these in a row and this is one of the funniest ones. I don't know what we are laughing at, but I guess it was pretty funny.

The last one is of the bride and groom - they are so cute together!!

Trying to Blog again!

Hello everyone! I am trying to blog again because we have high speed Internet service now. I am home because I am sick - for a week now! A virus of some sort - it is in my sinuses and chest now. Ethan and Austin have fevers now too - yippee!

Anyway, we'll see if this works. I'll just post some recent pictures and tell about them.

The first set of pictures are of Austin and his race at our parish festival. He won first place for his age group and he won a new bike! We were very proud of him. Also, there are pictures of both boys playing on the blow-up things at the festival. It was SO hot out, but they had fun!

The next ones are of Ethan building a "house" at Grandpa and Grandma Reding's house. He had so much fun in it!!

Well, I'll just do those for now and see how it works!!
